It started on a couch in Chilliwack, BC — staring into a display case of skulls and blades, the way most great ideas do. The eye kept drifting back to an Alaskan ulu. Beautiful design. Impractical in the field. But what if it didn't have to be?
That question sent us down a rabbit hole of prototypes, sketches, and late nights. Six iterations later, the Signature Ultimate Skinner was born — a one-of-a-kind rocker blade refined to its absolute best form. A knife that carries the soul of the ulu but performs like nothing else on game in the wild.
That knife started Dead Head Knife Co. Every blade we build since carries that same obsession with design, performance, and craft. We build practical EDC and hunting knives driven by a deep love for the outdoors. As an avid hunter and logger who spends 90% of his time in the woods, every knife is designed from real field experience. When he's not in the shop, he's in the woods.
